EU Budget 2011
Parliament will hold its main debate and vote on the EU's budget for 2011, and will also hear from the Commission on plans for the wider review of the EU's financial framework (debates Tuesday, Tuesday Ebs + LIVE 15.00 - 19.00 CET and Ebs 4 - 19.00 CET budget vote 2011 Wednesday). Commission President José Manuel Barroso will then take part in a meeting of political group leaders on the forthcoming budget negotiations (Wednesday).

The EP President will address a formal session of Parliament to mark the half-way point of his term of office (Wednesday).

Ban Ki-moon
The UN Secretary General will address Parliament and hold a press conference with EP President Jerzy Buzek. His visit is part of a range of events marking the week for combating poverty.

Financial crisis - G20 and EU summit
Parliament will debate plans for the next G20 meeting and the next European Council, alongside the mid-term report of the special committee on the financial crisis and ideas for improving economic governance in the EU (debate and votes Wednesday).

Sakharov Prize

Fight against Poverty
MEPs will discuss with the Commission and Council the outcome of the UN Summit on the Millennium Development Goals, where a global action plan was adopted to achieve the eight anti-poverty goals by 2015.

Fisheries in the North Atlantic
